Positive Behaviour

At Beehive, we always aim to use a positive approach to managing children’s behaviour.  Young children do best when they know how they are expected to behave.  We use clear boundaries of behaviour rather than imposing lots of rules and restrictions on children and their natural curiosity, desire to play and explore, develop their own ideas and interact with others. Our nursery environment, and the staff team encourage kindness, politeness, helpfulness, acceptance and respect.  We always manage behaviour in a way that is appropriate to the age and stage of development of each child and recognise that many “unwanted” behaviours are a normal part of child development.  Please see our Behaviour Management Policy for more details.
